Class 4 Operations at Holiday Island
Holiday Island, Ark. - On February 4, the board of commissioners of the Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District held a Special Meeting.
Under Open Meeting Laws, special meetings require a two hour notification prior to the meeting stating the agenda items. The location and time for the meeting is also required.
There was only one item on the agenda: Consideration and Approval, Agreement for Services with Operations Management International, Inc. (OMI) for Arkansas Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Services.
The board unanimously approved that the district manager proceed with execution of a renewable annual contract agreement with CH2M-HILL OMI. OMI provides the new state required mandate of a Class 4 license for the operations of the waste water treatment plant.
At this meeting the Holiday Island board of commissioners added an item to the agenda at the meeting.
The item added to the agenda was to approve the minutes from the November 24, 2010 meeting.
A motion to approve the minutes of the November 24, 2010 minutes was made by Commissioner Dolce.
The motion was seconded by Chairman Larson.
The board spent some time discussing the actual date of the minutes they were approving. Commissioner Janky pointed out that she did not have minutes for the November 24 meeting but she did have minutes for the November 4 meeting.
The board voted unanimously to approve the minutes for the November 4, 2010 meeting.
The motion before the assembly was to approve the minutes from the November 24, 2010 meeting.
Approving minutes for meetings was not on the notification agenda for the Special Meeting at the district office on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
