Holiday Island, Ark.
The Holiday Island Board of Commissioners (BOC) were sworn into office by Carroll County Judge Sam Barr after new board members were elected in the December 6, 2011 election for three seats available in 2012.
The winners of this election are Ken Ames, Ken Brown and Linda Graves. They began their positions immediately in December 2011. Several special meetings of the BOC were held in December.
Linda Griswold was elected by the five member board to the position of chairman.
Ken Ames was elected by the board to the position of vice chairman and Linda Graves holds the position of secretary of the BOC.

The BOC held a work session just before Christmas to get ideas started for addressing a heat and air overhaul at the clubhouse. The problem or rather the solution will place the first item on the agenda for 2012. The concern is an over budget expense and how the board will address the faulty equipment.

Former Commissioner Boyce Williams accepts position as interim district manager until the position is filled. Currently applications for the full time position as District Manager of Holiday Island are being accepted.
